Of America's 46 First Ladies, nine were born in New York State. This illustrated lecture explores the lives and legacies of these women, each with a different, fascinating tale to tell. One of these first ladies was a relative of the Thompson’s of the Manor. The speaker, Elizabeth Kahn Kaplan will present this lecture. This event is made possible through Speakers in the Humanities, a program of the New York Council for the Humanities. Free and open to the public.
